It's a great week to be a fan of middling, very enjoyable action games

Let me just start by saying I do not revel in seeing games I was excited about turn out to be disappointing. But the truth of the matter is that our triple-A, mega-hit-obsessed industry just doesn’t allow any room for failure. The bigger the bet is, the more it has to work out.
